Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka is a native of Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father, a hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born 5 May 1998, in Minsk Belarus. Aryna Sabalenka holds twelve WTA Singles titles, one of which was named 'Grand Slam' in the Australian Open 2023. The doubles play she plays is superb and she has also won Majors at both the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), each of them with Elise Mertens. She also achieved her Sunshine Double in 2019, by winning the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open with Elise Mertens. Only four teams of women's doubles to achieve. World singles rankings rose yet again, reaching its top position in January 2023. The Belarusian rose into the top spot of the doubles ranking the year following, having triumphing at Melbourne. She became the second Belarusian tennis player to achieve success in the field.
